Utterly Fruity are unique real fruit pieces which have been specially formulated to overcome moisture migration issues in bakery and patisserie products. The Bramley Apple is the hero fruit of our Utterly Fruity Apple and it has a very interesting history.
History of the Bramley Apple
The Bramley Apple is by far the best cooking apple grown, and accounts for 95% of all UK cooking apple sales. It is known for its superb flavour and creamy texture once cooked.
There are hundreds of varieties of apples in the market which all contain Copper, Manganese, Vitamins B1, B2, B6, A, and E, however, Bramley Apples have high amounts of Vitamin C and Potassium as well. Studies have shown that these qualities are good for the common cold, bone density, muscle function, blood glucose, and helps regulate your heartbeat.
So, thanks to a little girl called Mary Anne Brailsford for planting a pip in her garden over 200 years ago, we now have this fantastic apple that is not only great to eat but very good for our health as well!
Utterly Fruity Apple Pieces 100% (Malus domestica)
Bramley Apple contains high acidity and low sugar, creating a tart, sour, and tangy flavour. When slightly underripe, the apples are notably sour and are primarily used in cooked preparations, where their true deliciousness evolves into a milder flavour, retianing a subdued but pleasant tart and tangy, green apple taste.
Utterly Fruity Apple are cubes of fruit infused with a sweet syrup solution. This product delivers an intense Bramley Apple flavour and is ideal for inclusions in doughs and most bakery products.

Our fruit sourcing programme aims to embed sustainability through the entire value chain, from the sourcing of raw materials to the usage of products by customers and consumers. In the UK, Puratos Fourayes brings to life our commitment to sourcing local fruits and specific varieties for a differentiated taste, while offering transparency to customers and consumers. The BRC AA+ rated factory is surrounded by 100-acres of English Bramley apple orchard. Using apples from our orchards and soft fruits from other local farms, Puratos Fourayes is able to offer farm to fork traceability on some of our delicious fillings and jams.
Sustainability is at the heart of everything we do. Together, along with the nearby farms to Puratos Fourayes, we are Red Tractor Farm Assured. We buy soft fruit, including strawberries and raspberries, from nearby farms that don't meet the visual standards of retailers and might otherwise go to waste. These quality local fruits are the ideal product for our jams, purees, and fruit fillings. Our sustainable practices at Fourayes help to preserve wildlife on the farm and include bug hotels placed in every orchard to help create biodiversity and regulate pest control naturally. Our beehives on the farm help with pollination. On the rest of our site, our Water Treatment Plant recycles rainwater, and our Dynamically Controlled Atmosphere helps us reduce fruit waste as we can store fruit for up to 13 months alongside our Ultra Low Oxygen Storage which can store fruit for a few months.
